And it has a turbo! I’ll add an update later.

I will say it’s the least Lancia Lancia, if we exclude the Lancias with American genes.

It must be something from the Fiat group, because it has rust.

The R in Mopar stands for rust too.

A late 90s Delta Zeta? So a PSA/Fiat Eurovan engine transplant for in the 205 CTi?

A 2.0 Turbo, yes. The same engine as the one in the 605 I wanted to look at before (but which was sold). This one located in Groningen. No qualms about destroying this car either, as it’s an utter POS. Clutch is past its prime, no valid inspection, no passenger side mirror any more, interior is a mess, rust holes, AC doesn’t work, driver door lock doesn’t work. And that’s just the beginning.

http://link.marktplaats.nl/m1083071602 (no I didn’t pay that much. Not even close)

Hell no! It is a minivan though, a 20 year old minivan.

Rest assured; it’s symmetrical. It’s got one just like it on the other side.

After today this car won’t be on the road anymore anyway. I’ll drive it to the place where it’ll lose its engine tonight. It doesn’t have a valid inspection, and I guess it having all that rust is a reason.

It’s 20 years old, but yes, Fiat group. It has a PSA/Peugeot engine though. The only thing on this car that seems to be working just fine.

It’s an engine donor for 205? Sounds like a good plan to me. The 605 was too good to part...

That’s a great solution to give the 205 a new lease of life, and clear this piece of junk off the road in the process. What I’m finding weird is that it was imported in 2012, but it must have had some, if not most, of that rust back then, so why would they have bothered importing it?

Those chairs though, what was the guy thinking...

Let me guess, you paid around €300? Since the rest of the parts is unwanted on the second hand market due to the impopularity of the Eurovans, so you’ll probably only get scrap value when you junk the remaining bits of the car.

The square rear resembles, to me anyways, a Delta....the Delta that is not really a Delta...lol....

The 605 was just sold (well, promised to someone else), and located a 5+ hours (two way) trip from me while this was 15 minutes. I’ll take my bicycle when picking it up today, which I then throw in the back because minivan. I was very lucky with that location. Downside is price: I paid €450, which is still too much for such a piece of shit imho.

A Delta that ate itself until the end of the alphabet.

I paid €450, which I feel bad about (it’s too much). But what’s €150 on a great 205 CTi anyway?

The odd thing to me is that it has an Austrian toll road sticker from 2013 and an AC service sticker from July 2015 (AC doesn’t work). It also has a Peugeot 806 service manual, in German, in the glove compartment.

€450 isn’t too bad for a good engine that comes with a transport box. The 605 was dirt cheap so I don’t doubt that it sold quickly.

Kinja'd!!!0

Well, no need to feel bad about it, you’re saving the 205 that’s what counts!

That makes it even more confusing. Maybe somebody bought it from Germany, and used it as a road trip vehicle in 2013, then sold it on and somebody else tried to keep it alive for some reason.

It’s ‘reserved’ for a buyer who will come to look at it tomorrow, has ‘guaranteed’ he’ll buy it and has already insured it, the seller said. An odd way to do things.

I was the second on the list. If the #1 sellers backs out I might still get a call tomorrow. If so I would still consider it to be honest, but not as a donor but as a project. Assuming it’s as good as it seems.

I bet it’s fine mechanically. These engines are durable. I’m not entirely sure about the rest, and looking at it, it hasn’t received any serious attention recently.

Kinja'd!!!

Didn’t like this ‘repair’ though.

Yes, they do things differently in Greece.

Wait, you are telling me tape and tyraps isn’t a good repair method?

Nova likes a word with you: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/oppo-review-20…

(Nova was like 20% tape and tyraps at the end, because for inexperienced engineers tape is a good way to temporarily fix stuff)

\sarcasm off

Your right, that looks kinda scary. It’s an oil return hose, right?
